Stay Motivated- Luke 1:50
If we just start reading this section from the beginning (i.e. Luke 1:46-56), we see Mary (Mother of Jesus) singing a song of praise to God. But let us focus on verse 50 onwards.
Here Mary says that God has always been faithful to the meek, lowly, poor, etc. and has always chosen them. For example, Gideon, who was first introduced in the bible as hiding from the Midianites in a winepress, but with God's mercy and grace, could not only save the Israelites from the Midianites but many other foes of Isreal.
If God has a plan for you, he doesn't see your social status, bank balance, your works, etc. before moving forward with the plan. He just does it! And once He starts working in you then by His grace and power He will take you to hights.
Mary says "His mercy is on those who fear Him...". Her fear does not mean to be afraid/sacred of God but To fear the Lord is to worship God because of his character and glorify Him in awe because of the Love He has for us (Hebrews 12:28-29). So if we worship Our Father with all glory and honour, His mercy will not only be upon us but the generations to come. Because of God's mercy on Adam because of these acts in the very beginning, it was passed on from generation to generation till Jacob from where an entire nation Isreal received God's mercy. But when Jesus reconciled us back to God the entire Humanity received God's mercy.
This mercy can be received by a person who was not having it by accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. It can also be lost if you misuse God's mercy and step away from his presence, this mercy will be turned into a curse. So we must be careful.
God is merciful and it doesn't mean that we can take advantage of it, remember that we will all be judged on judgement day. Even if we do anything wrong, we have to come back to God and ask his forgiveness with faith and our Father is merciful enough to forgive us.
All praises to God, Peace be with you!
